Island Hopping is a new way of vacationing that invites tourists to “hop” from one island to another in just one day or longer.
One can sail, kayak, or even embark on a luxurious cruise for some island hopping adventure. In fact, some Islands have bridges connecting to other islands, where a limited number of cars can drive across. Many cyclists also cross the bridges to the islands, too.
Island hopping is more popular in the tropical regions where there are clusters of islands nearby such as in the Caribbean, Aegean Sea, or the South Pacific Sea.
Many travelers soak up a diverse array of exotic natural landscapes, hiking, kayaking, snorkeling, scuba diving, swimming with marine wildlife, or just sunbathing.
Some islands are huge where there’s a fishing village with people of a culture. Many travelers come to visit the village to learn new lifestyles from the Islanders.
Many shore excursion itineraries visit beaches or plan nature walks, but also there are trips to secret lagoons, coves, inlets, and marine sanctuaries.
Deaf World Adventures plans a luxury island hopping cruise in the Indonesia archipelago in February 2023.
